The fact that I’m just now posting this, two months after the fact, means, I guess, that I need to do more searching. It never struck me to do it. Seemed a bit, I don’t know, self-important.
Anyhoo, the fansite ‘Anything Zombie’ listed A Place Outside The Wild as one of their top-10 new zombie books for the month of October. Pretty cool! I’ve been writing too much to do much reading lately, so most of the other titles are new to me save one. I have read the first of Michael John Grist’s Zombie Ocean series, and it’s good — well worth picking up even if it weren’t on sale for the ridiculously low price of 99 cents in a boxset of the first three books.
You can check out the rest of the list here.
Also much appreciated is the fact that the site kept the spoilers to the vest in their blurb. It’s funny; I love places like themoviespoiler.com, but one of the most agonizing moments I’ve experienced since publishing Wild was a review that spoiled one of the twists in the book. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like it’s The 6th Sense or anything, but still . . . keep it on the down low. Let other folks go in and be pleasantly surprised. Don’t tell them that the zombies are really being remote controlled by Reptoids from Planet X.
Eh. Don’t read that.
The first three books of Michael John Grist’s Zombie Ocean are available on Amazon.
As always, you can find my stuff here. As things are currently progressing there should be a new addition around March as I’m about 80% complete on the first draft of Fade.
